Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan, at few places in west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Punjab. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Guhla 5, Ambala 4, Pehowa and Sirsa 3 each, Fatehabad, Karnal and Thanesar 2 each and Ayanagar and Tohana 1 each; Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 3 and Dharamsala 1; Jammu and Kashmir: Batote and Pahalgam 1 each; Punjab: Patiala 2; east Rajasthan: Jaipur 1; west Rajasthan: Jodhpur 2 and Jalaur 1; east Uttar Pradesh: Allahabad and Varanasi 2 each; west Uttar Pradesh: Sarsawa 2; and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun and Pantnagar 1 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh, rose in west Uttar Pradesh, fell in Haryana and east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were largely below normal in Haryana and Punjab, appreciably below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.1 0C recorded at Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 11: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, at a few places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 11: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 35 0C.
