Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of east Rajasthan, northern limit of monsoon passes through atitude 26°N, longitude 70°E, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Gwalior, Mainpuri, Bareilly, Dehradun, Shimla and Jammu.
Conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of monsoon into the remaining parts of west Uttar Pradesh, parts of Haryana including Chandigarh and Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.
Southwest monsoon has been active in east Uttar Pradesh.
Rainfall:
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: New Delhi (Palam) 4 and Ayanagar 3, Himachal Pradesh: Kasol 2 and Pandoh 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 3, east Rajasthan: Ajmer, Kishansagar and Meza 7 each, Atru, Shahbad and Umedsagar 5 each, Arwar, Begu and Raipur 4 each, Bhawani Mandi, Chhotiisadari, Chhabra, Chhapidam, Harish Chand Sagar, Kotri, Khairii, Kapatan, Naharsagar and Patan 3 each, Baseri, Chikliwas, Degod, Hindoli, Jaitpura, Kota, Ladpura, Motisagar, Nandsamand, Nawanshahar, Pidawa and Rajasmand 2 each and Bassi,Bhimsagar, Chaksu, Jhalawar and Viratnagar 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Elginbridge and Kanpur 4 each, Bhatpurwaghat, Banda, Dalmau, Lucknow A.P. and Shardanagar 3 each, Ghazipur and Regoli 2 each and Chillaghat 1 each and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 6, Dehradun 2 and Haripur 1.
