Farmers plough paddy crop for want of rain

Sick of insufficient and erratic power supply and the elusive monsoon, farmers of the district have started taking the extreme step of ploughing their paddy crop, wilting due to the lack of proper irrigation.

Man suspected of killing daughter, held

Ms Suman Rani, who lives near Baba Deep Singh gurdwara in Gopal Nagar on the Tibba Road , has alleged that Jasbir Singh of the gurdwara came to her house and molested her. A case under Sections 452 and 354 of the IPC has been registered against Jasber Singh.
