Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, East Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in West Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Chhachhrauli and Naraingarh 2 each, Himachal Pradesh: Una 5, Ghamroor 4, Berthin, Kahu and Shimla 3 each, Dhundhi, Guler, Nadaun, Sujanpurtira and Solongnala 2 each and Bhunter, Bangana, Bhang, Kasol, Sunnibhaji and sundernagar 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 4, Srinagar 2 and Quazigund 1, Punjab: Amritsar 2, East Uttar Pradesh: Palliakalan 6, Turtipar 5, Katarniaghat and Mukhlishpur 4 each, Birdghat, Hanumansetu, Kakrahi and Lucknow A.P. 2, Balrampur, Balmikinagar, Ballia, Bhatpurwaghat, Ghazipur, Khadda and Shardanagar 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Baraelli 9, Fatehgarh 4, Dabri 2 and Ankinghat 1 and Uttaranchal: Joshimath 4, Rishikesh 3, Banbasa, Dehra Dun, Haridwar and Pantnagar 2 each and Uttarkashi 1.
