Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Kalka 5 and Ayanagar, New Delhi (Palam) and Pataudi 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Dehragopipur 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 2, East Rajasthan: Radia 5, Bandikui 4, Kishangarh, Khetri and Sikri 2 each and Shahpura 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Sultanpur and Varanasi 2 each and Birdghat, Neemsar and Rigoli 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Fatehgarh and Moradabad 3 each, Bareilly 2 and Dabri 1 and Uttaranchal: Joshimath 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 18: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
