Vinay Katiyar sacked

New Delhi, July 18
Two months after BJP's Lok Sabha electoral debacle, Vinay Katiyar, the prominent backward class leader who was in the forefront of Ram temple movement, was today removed as chief of the party's Uttar Pradesh unit by the high command. He was replaced by former assembly Speaker Kesri Nath Tripathi. An upset Katiyar accused the BJP high command of making him the "sacrificial goat" for the party's electoral defeat. — PTI
