Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms. are: Haryana: Bhiwani 1, east Rajasthan: Jambaramgarh 9, Moraldam 7, Bassi 6, Boli and Lalsot 5 each, Bhawargarh colony, Dausa, Indergarh and Jaipur 4 each, Ajmer and Roopwas 3 each Chakshu, Lakshmangarh, Motisagar, Niwai, Rahuwas, Sikar and Sawaimadhopur 2 each and Atru, Bhilwara, Baseri, Kota, Maitri Kundiya, Peeplu, Shahpura and Viratnagar 1 each, west Rajasthan: Bhadra and Desuri 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Balrampur and Kakrahi 9 each, Bansi 8, Kakardharighat, Khadda, Mukhlishpur and Regoli 5 each, Chndradeepghat and Palliakalan 3 each, Katarniaghat 2 and Ayodhya, Basti, Dalmau, Mirzapur, Shardanagar and Varanasi A.P. 1 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa and Pantnagar 2 each and Dehra Dun and Joshimath 1 each.
