Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Rajasthan, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Chandigarh 3; Haryana: Guhla and Jagadhri 2 each and Ambala 1; Himachal Pradesh: Kandaghat 1; Punjab: Ropar 4, Khanna 3 and Amritsar, Patiala and Rajpura 2 each; east Rajasthan: Bansbara 25, Ghatol 21 and Bhilwara 20; east Uttar Pradesh: Chhatnag 3, Banda 2, Allahabad, Basti and Jaunpur 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Kalpi 2; and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 8, Joshimath 4, Pithoragarh 2 and Haripur 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 14: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, and at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh.
