Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Ayanagar and New Delhi (Palam) 5 each, Nilokheri, Panipat and Thanesar 3 each, Karnal and New Delhi (Safdarjung) 2 each and Delhi Ridge, Sonepat and Tajewala 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Nadaun 1, East Rajasthan: Rajakhera 4, Bansur and Pahari 3 each, Manoharthana and Shahbad 2 each and Alwar, Aklera, Bharatpur, Kaman, Roopwas, Talabshahi, Todabhim and Urmilasagar 1 each, West Rajasthan: Sangaria 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Mirzapur 18, Palliakalan 8, Ayodhya 4, Chandradeepghat and Turtipar 3 each, Balrampur 2 and Bansi, Bhinga, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Neemsar, Raebareilly and Varanasi A.P. 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Agra, Fatehabad and Narora 1 each and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 16, Mukteshwar 7, Dehradun 4, Rishikesh 3, Tehri 2 and Bausan 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 23, 2004: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
