The art of designing jewellery
It aims to impart a high level of education and training to students, thereby enhancing the product quality of Indian jewellery and expanding its reach in the domestic as well as international markets In a world of specialisations, it stands out for its comprehensive and qualitative syllabus that prepares and hones one’s skills to perfection in the art of making jewellery and retaining in India to match international standards. Keeping this in mind, it has opened a branch in South, Extension Delhi. Keenly aware of the pulse of the industry, the focus is the jewellery sector thriving in the vicinity of Delhi. The South-Extension branch, has well-equipped classrooms with latest audio-visual techniques. The branch also has a gem lab where training is provided to evaluate practical testing procedures. And also a computer lab where computer designing techniques is taught to students. The courses include gemology, diamond, grading (where grading and identification of diamonds and identification of coloured gem stones is taught), jewel cad ( facilitates creativity with a comprehensive database of jewellery forms, surfaces, settings, and stone shapes for designing jewellery, jewellery retailing (Covers product knowledge, store management, and price determination), comprehensive jewellery designing (covers various design presentation techniques along with a week’s lectures and demonstration of different jewellery manufacturing techniques. These courses not only cater to the
students, but also those part of this industry and want to expand
