Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at many places in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in
cm are: Haryana: Panipat 6, Gohana 5, Pataudi 4, Bahadurgarh,
Dadupur, Karnal and Massani Barrage 3 each, Delhi (Ridge), Kaithal, New Delhi (Palam) and Sonipat 2 each and Delhi Bridge, Fatehabad,
Jhirka, Kalka, Nuh, New Delhi (Safdarjung) and Sohna 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 3,
Ghamroor, Kasol, Sujanpurtira and Sunnibhaji 2 each and Berthin, Kahu and Shimla 1 each. Forecast valid until the morning of August 25:
