HP registering Nepalese visitors New Delhi, August 31 He said a special cell under the supervision of DSPs had been created in each district to deal with the FIRs relating to communal problems. Mr Singh said a separate Department for Redressal of Public Grievance had also been set up under his direct control and complaints and grievances of minorities and weaker sections were being redressed on a priority basis. The Chief Minister said more than 35 per cent population in the state was still deprived of media facilities. In his address, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda emphasised the need of strengthening intelligence system so that outside inimical forces did not disturb the peace. He said social and economic inequalities, selective denial of opportunities and an education system that did not develop young minds into responsible citizens were the stumbling blocks in the task of integrating the society. Mr Hooda said the Haryana Government had launched a scheme for modernisation and providing financial assistance to the madarsas in the state. He said 100 posts of Urdu teachers had been sanctioned in Gurgaon and Faridabad districts for teaching Urdu in schools. Mr Hooda said of these 100 posts, 97 posts were meant for schools located in Mewat, an area inhabited by 90 per cent of the Muslims living in the state. He said that Mewat Model Education Society was doing a commendable work to improve the educational standard of the area. He said assistance was being provided to private institutions being run by minorities to promote school education in Mewat. |
