Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed little elsewhere and Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.6C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
