Rhyme TIME
Soldier’s pledge

Kashmir, the land of forests,

The land of snow.

Where apples grow,

Boats and shikaras are there to row.

Here one finds in the lap of nature,

Everywhere there are lovely creatures.

Cherries are rooted to the ground,

One finds blossoms all around.

In the mountains is the Amarnath cave,

Which gives freedom even to slaves,

Srinagar is the best hill station,

The Dal Lake is of great attraction.

Alas! Pakistan claims it to be theirs,

To protect it, the defence forces are coming near.

To save Kashmir, we will lay our lives,

Without caring for our children and wives.

Star talk

Stars in the universe are like pearls in the sea,

Some are visible, but many of these we can’t see.

Mercury is too hot, Pluto too cold,

All the planets, the universe does hold.

People say there is life on Mars,

But there is no planet like ours.

Planets in the solar system are nine,

At night, like stars, they shine.

Clouds

Beautiful clouds I see in the sky,

All in different shapes,

Look there’s a dragon and a snake,

All day long, I watch the sky,

To see what sort of clouds go by.
