TV star Kuljeet Randhawa hangs herself to death

Television actress and model Kuljeet Randhawa (25) committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of her apartment at Juhu in suburban Mumbai. According to the police, Randhawa was found hanging by her maid last night. Her body was discovered at 8.30 pm and was subsequently declared dead on admission to the Cooper Hospital.

A suicide note left behind by Kuljeet said she was taking the extreme step because she was fed up with “life’s pressures”.

Randhawa who won Gladrags pageant in 2001 went onto make it big in television serials like “Kohinoor”, “Hip Hip Hurray”, “Special Squad” and “Cats” apart from modelling for several top brands.

She had just acted in her first film “By Chance”, which is due for release. The police is likely to question her friend, Bhano, an actor. Though both were close, they had gotten into a major row, the police added.
