Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today made his government’s first major policy announcement on the Indo-US nuclear deal when he told Parliament that while preparing a Separation Plan, there had been no erosion of India’s Nuclear Doctrine “either in terms of current or future capabilities”.

25 Tis Hazari lawyers face contempt charges
New Delhi, February 27
Taking a tough stand against the ongoing strike by lawyers of Tis Hazari Courts against shifting of certain courts to the new District Court complex at Rohini in North-West of the Capital, the Delhi High Court today barred them from holding demonstrations within a 500-metre radius of any court complex and initiated contempt proceedings against 25 advocates.

Charges framed against Salman, six others
Jodhpur, February 27
Charges were framed today against film actors Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and two others by the Judicial Magistrate Dalpat Singh Raj Purohit here in a blackbuck poaching case. All accused were present when the charges were read out to the accused.

SAS Nagar to become a district Mohali, February 27 Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today approved the formation of a new district in the state which would include Mohali, Dera Bassi and Kharar tehsils.
