Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Ghamroor 7, Dhundhi 3, Bhang, Guler, Nagrotasurian and Solangnala 2 each and Bhuntar, Kangra, Kotkhai, Patsio and Rampur Bushahar 1 each. Jammu and Kashmir: Quazigund 4, Banihal 3, Kupwara 2 and Srinagar 1.
Temperatures:
Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell markedly in Himachal Pradesh, fell appreciably in Haryana and Uttaranchal, rose in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.
Departure:
These were largely above normal in east Rajasthan, markedly above normal in west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 9.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
