5 Army men killed, 9 hurt in road mishap

Jammu, March 27
Five Army men were killed and nine injured, six of them seriously, when an Army vehicle rolled into a gorge in Poonch district today, official sources said.
An Army vehicle, on its way from the Mandi area in Poonch district to Jammu, skidded off the road and fell into the gorge at around 11 am today, the sources said.

The injured have been taken to Army Hospital in Poonch. Troops also recovered the bodies of the five soldiers from the site, they said.

Two of the deceased had been identified as Sepoy Sushil Kumar and Sepoy Roop Lal. — PTI
