Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Punjab and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: This was largely above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, appreciably above normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Utaranchal, above normal in west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.8C recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 30: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 30: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 41C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of April 30: Duststorm/thunderstorm is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph is likely at isolated places.
