Jewellery theft case solved

Hyderabad, May 18
Barely 48 hours after the sensational heist, the burglars in the Alukkas jewellery theft case were caught by the Mumbai police today. Acting on a tip-off by their Hyderabad counterparts, the Mumbai police have arrested two persons. Almost all stolen property has been recovered, Home Minister K Jana Reddy said here.

In a stunning theft, jewellery and diamonds, worth at least Rs 6 crore, were stolen on the midnight of Monday from Alukkas, a famous Dubai-based jewellery chain, located in the Panjagutta area. — TNS
