Pre-departure briefing for students headed to UK

FOR those who have received an offer of admission from an institution in the UK and are preparing to leave for the country soon, the British Council is holding the annual pre-departure briefing on July 22. The briefing will give tips on:

• Preparing to leave

• Student visa application

• Travel

• Settling down in the UK

• Student loans

• Accommodation

• Association of British Scholars

There will also be an interaction with selected alumni who will share their experience of studying in the UK. You can meet other students going to the UK (and perhaps even to your institution).

This is an opportunity to ask questions and clear any doubts. Special guests from the visa section of the British High Commission will be present to give advice.

The briefing will be held between 9 am to 1 pm at the Taj, Block No 9, Sector 17-A, Chandigarh. — TNS
