Bono rocks

A poll commissioned by music channel MTV as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations has found that of all the pop stars in the world, U2 frontman Bono is the most influential of them all.

In the Rock Royalty poll, more than 4,000 people who took part thought that Bono was the pop star with the most influence, followed by singer Michael Jackson and the queen of pop Madonna, who came in the second and third place, respectively.

The top five was rounded off by the late ‘Nirvana’ frontman Kurt Cobain, and Prince, who came in four and fifth, respectively, in the list of the top 15 most influential stars.

MTV celebrated its 25th anniversary on August 1.
