Rhyme TIME

Lovely holidays

Holidays, holidays,

No work, only play,

Throughout the day;

Now the holidays are over,

The burden of exams has started to hover,

Still I want to play,

But mom says work more and less play,

I think the other way,

Papa says work while you work, and

Play while you play, is the right way.

Harshit Gupta IV-A, St Luke’s Senior Secondary School, Solan

Prince of hearts

One unfortunate step and he was 60 feet under,

He was still patient, how Iwonder.

Cried, tried, sobbed a few times,

Till darkness grew beyond the lines.

All were worried and wanted to help that poor soul,

And how they could take him out of the hole,

The nation prayed,

To take him out serious efforts were made.

Work started and progress was on,

They promised he’ll be out before dawn.

Fifty hours passed and finally the moment came,

The whole world anxiously watched the same.

Prince was out safe and sound,

Everybody’s son he was crowned.

God bestowed upon him his every blessing,

It was raining yet it seemed like spring.
