Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: east Rajasthan: Gangdhar 2; east Uttar Pradesh: Kanpur 6, Dalmau 4, Chillaghat, Elginbridge and Shardanagar 2 each and Bhinga and Raebareilly 1 each; west Uttar Pradesh: Kalpi 3 and Gomatia 2; and Uttaranchal: Joshimath 2 and Banbasa and Haripur 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 7: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in east Rajasthan and southwest Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region. Rainfall activity over east Rajasthan is likely to increase after 24 hours with possibility of isolated heavy to very heavy rain.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely over southeast Rajasthan during next 24 to 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 7: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas.
