37 die in Malegaon blasts
* Riots break out  * Indefinite curfew imposed

Mumbai, September 8 An indefinite curfew has been imposed in Malegaon town, 180 km from here, after riots broke out in the wake of bomb blasts this afternoon that claimed at least 37 lives. More than 200 persons were injured in the incident.	In video (56k)

Centre rushes forces
New Delhi, September 8
The Centre today rushed para military forces to Malegaon in Maharashtra to maintain law and order and prevent any communal backlash in the wake of the twin blasts that killed 30 persons and injured 56 others in the textile town.

Along with millions of readers and admirers, The Tribune pays homage to its founder, Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, who passed into eternity on this day 108 years ago.

Three get death sentence for multiple murders
Mumbai, September 8
Three persons, who were involved in a series of murders in Mumbai’s Vasai suburb in 2004, were sentenced to death by a Mumbai court today. Dilip Tiwari and two of his accomplices were convicted by the same court on Thursday for the murders of Prabhu Nochil and three others. The death sentence was the final nail in the coffin.
