Kidney patient needs money

Machhiwara, September 18
“I want to live a little while longer for the sake of my three small children,” says carpenter Amrik Singh (40), who has been suffering from renal failure for the past five years.

Now, death appears nearer than life to Amrik Singh as he finds himself incapable of getting treatment due to his poor economic position.

Amrik Singh has got dialysis done nearly 15 times in a hospital in Ludhiana. The doctors have suggested to him to undergo kidney transplantation at the earliest.

Amrik Singh’s aunt Surjit Kaur has agreed to donate her kidney but some legal hurdles and the arrangement of a large amount of money which would be required to buy medicines after surgery has brought Amrik into depression.

Sukhdev Singh Bittu, president, Sri Guru Ravidass Naujawan Sabha, has appealed to the people to help Amrik Singh. — OC
