PM visits dengue patients at AIIMS

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh chose Sunday, the date of the discharge of his 11-year-old- grandson, to visit the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here. His grandson was also suffering from dengue. He had a word of praise for doctors treating dengue patients.

Panel finds fault with Saraswati project

In a move that could raise the hackles of some affiliates of the previous NDA Government at the Centre and the Sangh Parivar, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture has said the ambitious multi-crore Saraswati Heritage Project has not conformed to the criterion fixed for the excavation of archaeological sites.

Scintillating show marks Air Force Day

Shifting for the first time the venue of its annual Air Force Day parade from the Palam air base in Delhi to the outskirts of the Capital at Hindon in Ghaziabad, the IAF today presented one of the grandest ever displays of its frontline fighter jets, helicopters and mid-air re-fuellers in a traditional fly-past.
