Boucher: Terror groups have origins in Pak

New Delhi, November 10 The United States’ Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher today said that terror groups responsible for attacks in India had ‘origin’ and ‘links’ in Pakistan. Mr Boucher, however, did not take a position when asked whether these terror linkages were sponsored by Pakistan government. For its part, the Government of India’s position is that it does not matter whether the terrorists operating in India are “free-lance”, or “good” or “bad” or who the sponsors are.

‘BUSH TRYING TO PUSH N-BILL’ Mr Boucher said President George W. Bush was going an extra mile to ensure that the Indo-US nuclear deal was passed by the Senate during the lame duck session slated to start on November 13.

Grenade attack near Pulwama mosque, 4 kids killed

Three teenaged girls and two boys were killed and at least 35 injured in a grenade explosion near a mosque in Tahab village of Pulwama district, 35 km south of here, this afternoon.

Clarify stand on CPS, PS, says SC

The Supreme Court today directed the Centre to take a clear stand on the issue of appointment of Parliamentary Secretaries by various states, specially Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat akin to Himachal Pradesh where it was struck down by the state High Court for “circumventing” the 91st constitutional amendment on downsizing the ministries.
