New Delhi, November 29
The condition of former Union Coal Minister Shibu Soren who was admitted to the AIIMS late last evening, is reported to be stable.
The 64-year-old JMM chief was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit of the Cardiology
Department after he complained of chest pain and weakness. Doctors said he was under observation and his vitals were stable. Doctors said he had undergone ECG, blood tests, biochemistry tests, X-ray of the chest and ultrasound of the abdomen.
A Delhi court had yesterday found Soren guilty of conspiracy in the abduction and murder of his former private secretary Shashi Nath Jha in 1994. He was taken into judicial custody soon after the pronouncement of the verdict. Soren resigned from the Union
Cabinet after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh asked him to put in his
papers.
