In a decision of far-reaching consequence, the Punjab and Haryana High Court today found BJP MP and former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu guilty of having caused the death of a 65-year-old Patiala resident, Mr Gurnam Singh, in 1988.

What the court said
Gurnam died due to haemorrhage, not cardiac arrest.
Difficult to believe that a person who is known to everyone and of international fame would be falsely implicated in a crime committed on a busy road as people watched.
Case of both respondents falls within purview of Section 304 Part II.
