Rhyme Time
My anchor

He has showered his love on me,

He has held my hand firmly,

He has been the pillar of support,

Boosting me mentally and giving me comfort,

He has sheltered me

From life’s cruel blows

He has taught me

To know my strengths

I’ve always sought his support

When I am emotionally fraught

From him I have sought answers

To questions,

He is a friend, a philosopher,

a teacher and a guide

without whom I cannot survive,

For he is my FATHER.

Little sister

My sister is cute,

She is also very sweet.

When she goes to the bathroom,

She asks for a towel.

And when she goes to

Chandigarh,

She wants to go to McDonalds.

She always eats candies,

Of colour red and green.

And wants to be a doctor,

That is her only dream.

When she goes to the market,

She buys a pink dress.

And when she comes home,

She wants mother to press it.

She studies very hard,

Which she thinks is right.

And plays with her toys,

With dolls left and right.

I love her so much,

That I can’t tell.

And she too loves me,

Because I treat her well.
