Sadhu Yadav surrenders
Patna, December 4 His surrender came in connection with a case of forgery and cheating relating to the multi-crore flood-relief scam that had surfaced in 2004 under the then RJD regime, headed by Ms Rabri Devi. Soon after his surrender before the Vigilance Judge, Mr Munilal Paswan, Sadhu Yadav was sent in the judicial custody till December 12. Talking to the media after his surrender, Sadhu Yadav charged the ruling NDA in Bihar with “political conspiracy” to implicate him in false cases. Claiming himself to be innocent, Mr Sadhu Yadav hoped justice would be granted to him and he would be bailed out of the charges framed against him. Subsequently, Mr Sadhu Yadav`s counsel, Mr Janardan Rai, moved a petition for his regular bail. While accepting the bail petition, the Judge fixed December 6 for the hearing of the same. |
