Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a many places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana west Rajasthan and west uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundi 5, Patsio 3, Guler 2 and Bhuntar, Nadaun Shiml, Sundernagar, Solangnela, Sunibhai and Sujanpurtira 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 7, Banihal 6, Quazigund 5, Bhaderwah and Katra 2 each and Jammu, Kupwara, Kukernag and Pahalgam 1 each, Punjab: Ludhiana and Nangal 1 each and Uttaranchal:Dehradun 2 and Tehri 1.
Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose in east Uttar Pradesh, fell markedly in west Rajasthan, fell in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.
Departure: They were largely above normal in west Uttar Pradesh, markedly above normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 07.3 degree Centigrade at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).
