Creamy layer stays in OBC quota Bill
New Delhi, December 7
The Union Cabinet tonight decided that the creamy layer in other backward castes would not be excluded from the benefits of 27 per cent reservation in Central educational Institutions and a Bill to this effect would be introduced in the current session of Parliament.

N-deal to be through in 36 hours: Burns
New Delhi, December 7
The US Congress would vote and pass the Indo-US nuclear deal “in the next 36 hours” and it would be “well within the parameters” of the July 18, 2005, agreement.

PM’s conduct disgraceful: BJP

New Delhi: The BJP today went ballistic on the Indo-US nuclear deal and accused Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of "demeaning conduct" in pursuing the agreement. Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh said it was "extremely odd" for the PM to lobby for the deal.
