Notorious nickel thief Chanderma nabbed

Mann to contest from Dhuri, Dhanaula

Mr Simranjit Singh Mann, president SAD (A), will contest the forthcoming elections from Dhuri and Dhanaula Assembly constituencies besides the Amritsar parliamentary constituency, according to Mr Ajit Singh Auloarakh, a member of the parliamentary board of the party.

Shopkeepers rue indifference of authorities

Fed up with the callous attitude of the authorities towards their repeated requests, the residents lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, who inturn directed the Nagar Council through the SDM, Payal, to make amends and ensure clean hygienic surroundings. 8 booked for bid to occupy land illegally

Watchman found murdered

Chill keeps students away

Dean of veterinary science college retires
Ludhiana, January 2
Professor K.S. Roy, Head, Department of Veterinary Anatomy and Histology, College of Veterinary Science, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, retired from services after attaining superannuation on December 31. He was the acting Dean of the college from May to December 2006.
