2 booked for assault: Gurpal Singh and Gurvinder Singh of Tajpur allegedly entered the house of Gurcharan Singh of their village and assaulted him with sticks. The Raikot police has registered a case on the statement of Gurcharan Singh against them under Sections 452, 323, 324, 34, IPC. The injured has been admitted to the Civil Hospital, Raikot. Some dispute on wall is said to be the reason behind it.

League meeting: Col. Bhag Singh, president of the Indian Ex-Services League Punjab & Chandigarh, disclosed about the meeting to be held on January 20 at Lopo Ashram, Jagraon, to decide which party it should support in the elections. He also informed that all units of their league, including all blocks and villages, would participate.
