Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

The temperature was below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
