Mandeep emerges champ in tennis
Chandigarh, February 1 In the girls u-8 category Mehak claimed the singles crown, beating Bhavika of the Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association, 4-2, 4-2. Earlier, Mandeep Gill and Akshat started on a promising note by winning the first two games. However, Mandeep took lead in the third game by breaking Akshat’s serve. Mandeep got another break in the fifth game and wrapped up the first set 4-1. Mandeep clinched the second set 4-2. Gurpartap star in MCA victory
Mohali, February 1 Batting first, MCA XI scored 146 runs for 7 wickets. Gurpartap scored the highest 30 runs followed by Mayank Munjal (26), Anmol (22) and Mayank Sood (21). Harpreet and Inderpreet of MCM Blues took 2 wickets each. In reply, MCM Blues were bundled out for 124 runs in 28 overs. Abhishek scored 27 runs while Karan Khosla and Anirudh contribute 23 and 20 runs, respectively. Mayank Munjal and Gurpartap claimed two wickets each. The next match will be played between APJ Cricket Academy, Kharar, and the Sector 16 Stadium team tomorrow.
