Mumbai, February 6
The special court set up under the Terrorism and Disruptive Activities Act to hear the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case today extended the bail of actor Sanjay Dutt till Wednesday.

The actor, who has been convicted under the Arms Act case, has been out on bail since his conviction. His lawyers are pleading for probation for good behaviour.

Meanwhile, 20 persons, mainly family members of several persons found guilty in the same case, were detained after they raised slogans to protest the release of Sanjay Dutt on bail.

The protesters gathered outside the court and raised slogans when Sanjay Dutt drove up to the court this morning. They demanded that all convicts be given the same treatment given to the actor. Many of the protesters were carrying banners and placards.
