Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.8°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).
