Students came up with creative ideas and innovations in various contests. In the salad competition, all contestants vied with one another to offer the best food items replete with nutritive values. In the skit and histrionics category, contestants ignited the emotions of the audience while depicting the most deplorable practice of female foeticide and degenerating moral values in contemporary society.
While addressing the guests, the chief guest, Dr Bhalla, exhorted the students to remain sensitive and understand the moral values in life. He also told them to actualise their potentialities.
The dances were marked by gaiety, liveliness, rich imagery, symbolism and well-coordinated dance movements. In phulkari, embroidery and rangoli competitions, intricately-designed patterns bore testimony to the creative urges, aesthetic sense and talents of the students which were appreciated by the onlookers. Dr Madanjit Kaur Sahota, college Principal, stressed that women folk should explore their identity and assume their rightful place as the superb creations of the universe.
President Mr Swaran Singh proposed a vote of thanks and the programme concluded with the National Anthem sung by the college choir.
