The Indian Institute of Management-Lucknow, established in 1984, inaugurated its second campus at Noida recently. Despite being one of the youngest IIMs, IIM-L is the first one to set up a second campus. The aim is to develop the Noida campus as the most definitive provider of quality executive programmes and corporate training. This is the first foray of any IIM into the National Capital Region and the Noida campus will offer tailormade day and residential programmes to leading corporates and policy makers. The academic structure has been designed as a collaborative effort of academia and industry, offering solutions for the current global business demands. “It is my privilege to inaugurate the Noida campus. I have been associated with IIM-L for the past 15 years and this is a culmination of our hopes and desires to initiate a centre for learning for working managers. I hope that IIM-L Noida campus will deliver all that we planned for and more and emerge as the preferred destination for global managers,” said Hari Shankar Singhania, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM-L. A beginning for this global foray has already been made with a tie-up with San Diego State University (SDSU). The IIM-L Noida campus is the partner for SDSU’s first-ever “Global Entrepreneurship MBA” which takes participants across the globe to study in the best business schools. The participants will spend six weeks at the Noida campus later in the
year.— TNS
