Lovers all over the globe try to make Valentine’s Day as unique and special as possible for their loved ones and make them feel treasured.

A Japanese woman married a Kashmiri man under the Special Marriage Act here today. And they are going on honeymoon tomorrow to make the Valentine’s Day a romantic experience to be remembered forever.

Thirtysix-year-old Japanese Heairo Mukieye came here last year. A few days after arriving here, she met Sanjay Kumar (30), a local businessman, at McLeodganj and fell in love with him.

Sanjay hails from Jammu and Kashmir but is settled here for the past over 10 years.

The couple, soon after getting their marriage registered in the local SDM office, said they were delighted to tie the knot and wanted to enjoy their honeymoon on the Valentine’s Day.

"Heairo Mukieye is a great Valentine gift that I have got in my life," Sanjay commented soon after the registration of their marriage.

Both were a little hesitant to talk to the mediapersons on their love.

They did not even pose for a wedding photograph jointly.

Meanwhile, Heairo Mukieye, whose visa is to expire soon, has applied to extend it so that she could fulfill all formalities for her permanent stay with her husband in India.
