Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.
Departure: These were appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and west
Rajasthan, below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the
region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6.6C, recorded at Adampur (Punjab).
Forecast valid until the morning of February 23: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours and at isolated places thereafter. Rain/snow is also likely at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in north Haryana. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
Outlook for the subsequent two days: A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect north-west India from February 24. Under its influence, rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated rain/thundershowers are also likely in Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.
Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 23: Mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy towards evening. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 12C.
