Sports festival from today

Ludhiana, February 22
The 12th edition of the annual sports festival to be organised by the Yuvak Sevawan Sports Club under the
patronage of the Punjab rural sports promotion council will be held at Lalton Kalan, near here, from February 23 to 25.
Addressing a press conference here today, president of the club Sukhdeep Singh Grewal and chief organiser of the festival Tarlochan Singh Grewal said during the three-day festival, competitions in hockey, kabaddi, volleyball shooting besides dogs’ race and bullock cart race would be conducted. Executive enigineer, PSEB, Lalton Kalan, Ajit Singh would inaugurate the festival on Friday, while DGP, Punjab, Rajdeep Singh Gill would be the chief guest on the concluding day. Folk artistes Jaswant Shandeela, Kuldeep Shergill, Kiran Jyoti, Kamal Grewal, Raj Simran and Manmohan Waris would entertain the spectators on Sunday.
