Bridge demanded: A meeting of the Pul Banao Committee was held under the presidentship of advocate Sarabjeet Singh Billing, president of the Bar Association, Khanna, at the Bharri Bus stand complex on Friday. Renowned educationist prof Tarsem Bahia, senior advocate Jang Singh Bagli, demanded the construction of a railway flyover bridge on Lalheri Road, as early as possible.
Both leaders said it was connected with the economic growth of Bharri, the Harion Kalan area as well as Nandi Colony. Panches, sarpanches, lambardars in large, including patron of the committee Raj Kumar Manra, advocate Garish Kumar Mehta, advocate Verma also spoke. Tributes paid:
Tributes were paid to renowned Akali leader and former tehsildar Harchand Singh and his son Jasminder Singh in Civil Lines, Samrala, here on Friday.
