Wi-Fi not okay: PUSU

Members of the Panjab University Students Union (PUSU) have complained that the Wi-Fi provided by the university in its hostels was not working properly. “The university provides this facility from 6 pm to 8 am and even this is not working properly. This set of timings is not enough for students especially for research scholars,” said PUSU president Abhishek Puri.
University authorities have also released a grant of Rs 56 lakh for providing this facility, he added. PUSU members demanded that this facility should be provided properly and should be made available throughout the day.

GGSSS-18 win health quiz

Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sector 18, here bagged the first place in a state-level inter-school health quiz. The event was organised in collaboration with NSS Regional Centre, Chandigarh, by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports at DAV Model School, Sector 15, here today.
Students of Government Model School-45 and Government Model School-40 bagged the second and third positions, respectively, while Government Model School-22 had to contend with a consolation prize. The objective of the quiz was to disseminate information to adolescents on sexuality and reproductive health.
