Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 31.7C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

The minimum temperatures rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.
