Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Uttar Pradesh, fell in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 6 degree Celsius recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Punjab, fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Forecast valid until the morning of March 8: Weather will be mainly dry over the region.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: A Western disturbance is likely to affect north-west India from March 8 evening onwards, under its influence rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated rain/thundershowers are also likely in Haryana, Punjab, north-west Rajasthan and Uttarakhand from March 9 evening.
