 BADALS UNDER CLOUDDisproportionate assets case: Court orders framing of charges
 
  Ropar, March 9 In a major setback to Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, a Ropar court today ordered the framing of charges against him in the disproportionate assets case.
          
        
        Special judge G.S. Saran also ordered framing of charges against Sukhbir Badal and Surinder Kaur, the MP-son and wife of the Chief Minister and others for having disproportionate assets amounting to over Rs 78.39 crore.

                          | New Delhi, March 9 In the wake of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s statement that he would further curtail the river water supply to the neighbouring states by scrapping Section 5 of the Punjab Termination of Agreement (PTA) Act, the Haryana Government today urged the Supreme Court to expedite hearing on the presidential reference on the validity of the legislation passed by the previous Amarinder Singh government.

 A gentleman cadet in his final term at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, was killed in a grenade blast during a training session at the academy this afternoon, it is learnt. An instructor was injured in the explosion.
